Days to Remember

 

The Christmas holiday is one of the exciting moments in my life. Not only because I get to rest from schoolwork, but also because I get to spend more time with my family, cousins, and friends. My family and I had a plan about what to do during the holiday. We did a lot of things, like going to the Vigan night market. We found a lot of beautiful clothes, and of course, we had to buy some. There was also a lot of food, so it was very hard to choose. The night was fun because I spent it with my family.

On December 26, we had a six-hour trip from Vigan to Cagayan. It was very exhausting but really worth it because I can finally meet my relatives who are away from me, especially my grandmother, whose birthday is December 30. But during our stay in Cagayan, an unexpected heavy rain caused us to get stuck inside our house. It lasted for two days. So, we thought of other activities that we could do indoors to avoid boredom. This includes karaoke, watching movies, and playing board games. We still managed to make our vacation a memorable experience despite the bad weather. 

One of my favorite things that I have done is help prepare the food for New Year's Eve. We went to the grocery store and public market. I was also the one who peeled vegetables and wrapped our lumpiang Shanghai. Even though the Christmas holiday is short, I was able to enjoy it because of the numerous activities I have done. I learned and discovered a lot of things. And I hope that the happiness I felt during those times will always remain.
