Unity For Youth and Children's Future

 

The 2024 National Children’s Month Celebration is a celebration that aims to raise awareness about the rights of children and seek protection against violence. It shows our desire to help improve and make a safer environment where we can live freely, where kids can show their smiles and laugh without any worries. This celebration ensures the well-being of youths and provides bright futures for them.

 

This also shows the challenges that are faced by many young individuals in the country and how their rights are being violated. People their age shouldn’t be experiencing these kinds of things as they're supposed to be enjoying their lives. And this shows that there are still people around us that lacks of empathy and morality, and can commit harm on children physically or emotionally. In addition, Department of Social Welfare and Development, shortly known as DSWD states that child abuse, rape, and acts of lasciviousness were the top three violations, with 17,204 reports. These violations often prevent children to access any education because of being forced to work and earn money to provide for themselves at such a young age.

 

The theme “Break the Prevalence, End the Violence: Protecting Children, Creating a Safe Philippines” serves as a reminder that children from our community need urgent help to prevent any type of harm as much as possible and fight for their rights. By working together, we can enhance the law about protection against violence and make their voices heard. In this case, we can build a brighter future and a safer community for children.
